Electric vehicle owners know that they are driving the automobile of the future. The Schumacher SEV1600HW Level 2 EV Wall Charger allows homeowners to easily integrate EV charging directly into their home power system. 

With the Schumacher SEV1600HW Level 2 EV Wall Charger homeowners enjoy faster charging in the convenience of their own garage or driveway. An SAE-J1772 (universal) connector on the charging gun is compatible with almost all North American EVs, making the charger easy to use. Simply plug the charging gun into your EV charging port and charging begins automatically. An adapter (sold separately) is available for Tesla® EVs. The unit’s flexible cable cradle offers built-in cord management that combined with a low-profile design, keeps the charger safely out of the way.

The SEV1600HW employs 240V Level 2 charging with up to 50A of power. The unit is hardwired by a licensed electrician into the home’s power system and during installation the chargers current can be customized for optimal performance. At 50A the unit can charge up to eight times faster than a standard Level 1 EV charger. The SEV1600HW also features Wi-Fi® and Bluetooth® to allow remote monitoring and scheduled charging through the companion SchuPower™ app. With a durable weather-resistant housing with a 3R raintight rating, the charger can be installed indoors or outdoors. In addition, a 25-foot charging cable adds further flexibility, allowing homeowners with a garage-mounted unit to charge an EV in any bay or even reach a vehicle in their driveway.

The Schumacher SEV1600HW Level 2 EV Wall Charger must be installed by a licensed electrician. Any changes to the wall charger’s electrical settings must also be made by a licensed electrician.
